The purpose of a “Creative Arts Counselor” is to inspire courage and self-confidence in your own innate ability to know and discover your own way, your own path as an artist. In school most of us didn’t get the education that would do this.  We didn’t get to ask the real questions for ourselves. Who am I? What do I want? What do I like?, etc.  The foundation of our existence was not addressed. For most, those questions went unanswered.

Part of the key to those questions becomes the focus of this counseling service.

Like no other field of interest, the artistic mediums make the creative process more apparent. Through creative choices, one begins to see and experience our own path and becomes more responsible for what comes next and next and next. We become aware that we are the one who creates, and in that we are in a continual process of self-discovery where those very basic questions unfold their practical answers to our joy and amazement.

“Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it,” and step by step you will discover that you cannot do this wrong. You can only learn more, and in this develop yourself as an artist of your choice and incidentally or coincidentally become the Artist of yourself and your life.
